Teamlead NPI Engineering AOS & PAA

Do you want to make an impact on how high-tech machines move from design to series production, while also growing and leading a team?

As a Team Lead NPI Engineering at AAE, you play a key role in successfully introducing new products. You ensure your team is ready for the future and that innovative ideas become manufacturable solutions.

AAE is a high-tech family business in Helmond with around 550 colleagues. Together, we build technology that makes the world a little better. We do this with courage, craftsmanship, and a strong focus on collaboration. Our core values Can Do, Ambitious, Human, and Together are visible in everything we do.

Pushing technical boundaries

In this role, you work within the business lines Advanced OEM Systems (AOS) and Printing & Assembly Automation (PAA).

AOS focuses on co-developing and producing complete high-tech systems for markets such as semiconductor, medical, and life sciences. You and your team ensure that designs are translated into manufacturable, reliable systems that can be produced at scale.

PAA develops and builds advanced production lines where printing and assembly processes come together. These machines operate at extremely high speeds and are used worldwide. Your team plays a crucial role in making these complex systems industrially manufacturable.

In both business lines, much of what we build is new. This requires smart decision-making, technical depth, and a strong team that continuously learns and improves.

What will your role be?

As a Team Lead NPI Engineering, you are responsible for leading and further developing your team. You provide direction, structure, and growth, while also staying closely connected to the reality of projects and production. You maintain overview, adjust where needed, and ensure continuous process improvement.

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of NPI engineers and coach them in their development
  • Safeguard work happiness, employability, and growth of your team members
  • Develop the vision and strategy for your team within NPI
  • Align ways of working with other team leads within engineering
  • Identify and improve work processes, and set them up or document them where needed
  • Collaborate with departments such as planning, assembly, and procurement to optimize processes

Being part of something great

You will join a close-knit team within a family business where collaboration is key. At AAE, we know each other, support each other, and celebrate successes together. You work closely with other team leads and departments, as well as with the NPI team of the Ultra Conditioned Precision Modules (UCPM) business line.

Here, you get the space to show your vision and truly influence how we work and improve.

You’ve got what it takes

You are a true team player with a passion for technology and people. With your strong analytical skills and structured way of working, you create overview, make complex challenges manageable, and help your team achieve the best solutions together.

You also bring:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field
  • At least 5 years of experience as an NPI engineer or similar within manufacturing
  • Experience in a leadership role, either operational or hierarchical
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and industrialization within machine building
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate others

How we take care of you

At AAE, work happiness is our number one priority. We believe it is important that you enjoy coming to work and continue to develop yourself. That is why we invest in you through our vitality program and extensive development opportunities.

Additionally, you can expect (based on a 40-hour workweek):

  • A gross monthly salary between €3,950 and €7,750, depending on experience
  • Annual profit sharing
  • 40 vacation days
  • Travel allowance
  • Access to the AAE Academy

And did you know AAE has been named a ‘World Class Workplace 2025’? A recognition awarded only when employees rate their employer above average.
