Product Engineer Key Technologies
As a Product Engineer, you are the sharp technical eye that ensures our products are not only designed, but are also truly manufacturable. Today, tomorrow and at scale.
You see connections others miss, dive deep into production processes and ensure that every transition from prototype to volume production runs smoothly, stably and predictably.
Pushing technical boundaries
Our products are becoming increasingly complex, smarter and more precise. That requires someone who looks beyond today. Someone who understands the impact design choices have on production, which risks arise during scaling and which safeguards are needed to guarantee stability.
Whether it concerns a hightech module or a fine mechanical component, you see the manufacturability, the bottlenecks and the opportunities.
What will your role be?
As a Product Engineer, you are the technical link between engineering and operations. You ensure that products moving towards volume production meet all requirements in terms of quality, repeatability and manufacturability.
You are actively present on the shop floor, gather input from operators and technicians, and translate those insights into concrete improvements. You assess products, identify patterns in deviations and drive structural solutions.
You are assertive, take initiative and are confident in providing direction. Thanks to your experience, you recognise problems before they arise and understand which design or process decisions will impact future volume production.
Your responsibilities at a glance:
You are the bridge between engineering and operations during the transition from NPI to volume production.
You assess products both technically and practically, with a focus on tolerances, manufacturability and stability.
You perform root cause analyses and translate findings into robust improvements.
You read technical drawings and fully understand geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing.
You work closely with the shop floor and actively gather input to improve products.
You safeguard the manufacturability of products and contribute to standardisation and process control together with the Process Engineer.
You identify risks at an early stage and ensure predictability when scaling from prototype to volume.
You bring seniority: you think ahead, ask critical questions and take ownership.
Being part of something great
You will join an organisation where technology, collaboration and craftsmanship are central. We work multidisciplinary, switch quickly and share knowledge. The shop floor is your most important source of information. That is where things happen, where the experience is, and you are the one who translates that knowledge into structural improvements.
You’ve got what it takes
You are analytically strong, technically skilled and have a sharp eye for detail. You communicate clearly, are not afraid to ask critical questions and take initiative. You feel at home in a production environment and know exactly how to translate technical challenges into practical solutions.
What we also ask from you:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field.
At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within manufacturing or production environments.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tolerances and production techniques.
Experience with root cause analyses and process control.
Affinity with the shop floor and a hands on mentality.
The ability to look ahead and identify risks in NPI to volume transitions.
An assertive attitude and a strong sense of responsibility.
