What will your role be?

As a mechanical engineer at AAE in Helmond, you’ll be the expert in developing tools to enhance the manufacturability of products. How? By designing smart tools that refine and further optimize our production processes.

You’ll translate ideas into smart, efficient solutions. Working closely with the New Product Introduction (NPI) engineer and system engineer, you’ll ensure that each process runs smoothly by following the V-model, simulating or 3D-printing prototypes step-by-step, and validating with customer feedback.

In your role, you’ll have the opportunity to take full ownership of the design, development, validation, and implementation of tools. The exciting part is that these tools are not only designed by you but can also be physically handled, tested, and improved. Our transparent production halls—only separated from our engineering department by a glass wall—ensure full visibility into the entire process.

And those tools are as versatile as the challenges we face. From tools that boost production efficiency to complete qualification tools for approving customer components, and positioning tools that enhance precision, or safety tools that reduce risks. Don't get us wrong; these are not simple tools—they can be complete machines!

In summary, your responsibilities will focus on:

• Specifying customer requirements (internal or external) to gain a clear understanding of the problem for which the tool will serve as a solution.
• Developing solutions and concepts for the technical challenges you encounter.
• Iteratively working out concepts, creating prototypes, and validating them with the customer.
• Taking complete ownership of the entire journey, from concept to validation.

Finally, we believe in doing things right and doing them together. Never alone. Within our mechanical team of six members in the Ultra Conditioned Precision Modules (UCPM) business line, we foster an open and friendly atmosphere. • Experience with iterative design.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills in both Dutch and English.
• Knowledge of, and experience with, SolidWorks and TeamCenter is a plus.
