As a Senior Project Buyer at AAE in Helmond, you are responsible for realizing a future-proof Supply Chain within complex high-tech projects. You ensure that materials, components and outsourced processes are available on time, under the right conditions and with the highest quality.

Within the Ultra Conditioned Precision Modules business line, we work through Early Supplier Involvement and New Product Introduction towards stable and predictable volume production, with a strong focus on industrialization and supply chain readiness. As a Senior Project Buyer, you play a key role in realizing a scalable and robust Supply Chain. You ensure that suppliers are involved from the early development phase and are ready for stable and predictable serial production.

What will your role be?

As a Senior Project Buyer, you drive optimal procurement results within complex projects. You combine technical depth with commercial insight and effectively connect the interests of stakeholders and suppliers.

You are involved from start to finish in the development and industrialization process and ensure that suppliers are capable of meeting high standards in quality, manufacturability and delivery reliability.

You take ownership of contracting and contract management throughout the full lifecycle and act as a strong discussion partner for both internal teams and strategic suppliers.

Your responsibilities:

• Lead project procurement of complex high-tech modules and systems
• Develop and implement project-specific procurement strategies together with the Strategic Buyer UCPM
• Select, assess and develop (international) suppliers
• Negotiate prices, contract conditions, risks and lead times
• Safeguard progress, costs, quality and delivery reliability within projects
• Proactively manage supply risks, changes and escalations
• Collaborate intensively with engineering on manufacturability and cost optimization
• Involve suppliers early in the development process for optimal results
• Realize complex contractual agreements with strategic suppliers

You will be part of a professional and close-knit procurement team of approximately 15 colleagues, ranging from junior to senior buyers. Communication lines are short and the atmosphere is open. What you bring:

• A completed bachelor’s degree (HBO), preferably in a technical or business-related field
• 10 to 15 years of experience in project-based procurement within manufacturing, preferably in a complex technical environment. High Tech is a plus
• Extensive experience working in complex Supply Chains
• Knowledge of high-tech production processes and quality management
• Strong affinity with mechanical and/or electronic components, including outsourced manufacturing parts and supplier components
• Ability to read technical documentation and drawings and translate them into procurement and supplier agreements
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English. German is a plus

• A gross monthly salary between €3,700 and €6,700 depending on experience
