As a Customer Support professional at AAE, you take the logistical lead on customer orders. You are the customer’s dedicated and trusted point of contact. At AAE, customers do not get a chatbot on the phone, they get a person who understands their situation and takes action. At the same time, you and your team help shape an internal organization where smart automation and AI take over repetitive tasks, allowing you to focus on what truly matters: the customer.
Pushing technical boundaries
At AAE, we work on technology that makes the world a little better. Together with more than 550 colleagues, we develop and manufacture complex modules and systems for customers in innovative markets such as semiconductors, medical technology, and automation.
Customer Support is at a turning point, and you are joining at exactly the right moment. We are rapidly automating our internal processes. Reporting, move rate analyses, and exception monitoring are increasingly supported by AI-driven solutions. What we deliberately do not automate is customer interaction. That remains human work. As a result, your role shifts from execution to orchestration: systems handle the routine work, while you focus on exceptions, risks, and customer relationships.
What will your role be?
You take ownership of the end-to-end order flow for our customers. You monitor progress, intervene when deviations occur, and ensure issues are resolved before the customer even notices them. In addition, you actively contribute to the digital transformation of Customer Support. You understand better than anyone which activities are routine and can be automated, and which require a human touch.
Your responsibilities include:
Building strong, proactive customer relationships as the dedicated point of contact, ensuring expectations are met every day
Managing customer orders from inquiry to delivery, using ERP systems and AI-powered alerts as supporting tools
Handling exceptions by assessing and resolving risks and deviations identified by the system
Working with the team to identify process steps that can be automated, and helping test and implement those improvements
Applying and critically evaluating AI solutions for reporting, move rate analysis, and logistics decision-making
Identifying structural bottlenecks in the logistics flow and initiating continuous improvements
You will be part of a cross-functional Product Team where you lead the logistical coordination of customer orders. On a daily basis, you collaborate with colleagues from production, planning, procurement, engineering, and supply chain. The team actively experiments with AI applications, and you will have both the opportunity and the expectation to contribute, identify opportunities, and continuously improve the way you work.

You’ve got what it takes
You enjoy creating structure, easily switch between different stakeholders, and stay calm under pressure. You communicate clearly, think ahead, and see the automation of routine work as an opportunity rather than a threat.
In addition, you bring:
Bachelor’s degree level of working and thinking (HBO level)
2 to 3 years of relevant experience in customer support, supply chain, or logistics
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, serving as the human face of AAE toward customers
A process-oriented and data-driven mindset, with the ability to evaluate AI-generated insights and know when human judgment is needed
Curiosity about digitalization and AI applications, combined with the drive to continuously improve and automate repetitive work
Strong command of both Dutch and English

A gross monthly salary between €3,300 and €5,000, depending on your knowledge and experience
Annual profit sharing
