As an Operator Metal Additive Manufacturing, you'll play a key role in bringing this technology to life. You'll not only produce high-quality metal components but also help establish new production processes and ways of working.

Pushing technical boundaries

AAE is a high-tech family-owned company in Helmond, the Netherlands, with around 550 colleagues. Together, we develop and build technology that makes the world a little better. We do this with a Can Do, Ambitious, Human, and Together mindset.

You'll join Key Technologies, a department focused on developing new manufacturing technologies and making them available across all three of AAE's business lines. Initially, you'll support products for Ultra Conditioned Precision Modules (UCPM). This business line develops and manufactures ultra-precise modules and assemblies for the semiconductor and life sciences industries. These products must perform flawlessly under demanding conditions such as vacuum, high temperatures, and high pressure. By introducing metal additive manufacturing, we're adding a completely new production technology that enables us to manufacture smarter, faster, and more innovatively.

What will your role be?

As an Operator Metal Additive Manufacturing, you'll be at the forefront of a brand-new manufacturing capability within AAE. We're building an entirely new production area while developing new expertise throughout the organization.

You will:

• Operate and set up industrial metal additive manufacturing systems.
• Prepare and verify build jobs and digital build files.
• Monitor the complete build process and perform quality inspections.
• Finish and inspect printed metal components.
• Work with advanced materials such as stainless steel, titanium, and copper.
• Help develop and improve new manufacturing processes and work methods.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to further expand this technology.

You’ve got what it takes

You're energized by technology that's still evolving. You enjoy learning, like improving processes, and aren't discouraged when something doesn't work perfectly the first time.

You also have:

• A technical vocational degree comparable to MBO Level 3 or 4, for example in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in advanced manufacturing technologies.
• Experience with CNC machining, metalworking, laser processing, or additive manufacturing is a plus.
• Curiosity, perseverance, and the drive to learn and build new expertise.
