Sheet Metal Specialist

Do you enjoy working with both your hands and your mind? Do you get energy from creating high-quality stainless steel and aluminium products with extremely tight tolerances? Then you'll feel right at home at AAE in Helmond.

We are looking for a Sheet Metal Worker to join our sheet metal department. Someone who takes pride in delivering outstanding quality. Whether you already have experience in sheet metal fabrication or you're looking to grow from a TIG welding background, we'd love to meet you.

Pushing technical boundaries

At AAE, we build technology that makes the world a little better. Together with more than 550 colleagues, we develop and manufacture high-tech solutions for customers around the world.

Our Sheet Metal & Fabrication department supports all three of our business lines by producing high-quality sheet metal parts and assemblies. These components are used in complex high-tech machines for industries such as semiconductors and life sciences.

In our sheet metal workshop, you create products from start to finish. You begin with a stainless steel or aluminium sheet and transform it step by step into a perfectly finished product. Depending on the project, you may prepare drawings, send files to the laser cutting machine, deburr parts, operate the press brake and perform TIG welding. Precision, quality and clean workmanship are at the heart of everything we do.

What will your role be?

  • Process stainless steel and aluminium sheets into high-quality finished products
  • Set up and operate laser cutting machines
  • Operate press brakes and perform bending work
  • Carry out TIG welding activities
  • Deburr, inspect and carefully finish products

What makes this role even more interesting? You rotate between different activities within the department. One week you may focus more on welding, while the next you work on sheet metal fabrication, laser cutting or press brake operations. This variety helps you continue developing your skills and keeps your work challenging.

Being part of something great

You'll become part of a close-knit team where people work hard, enjoy a laugh together and always support one another. No unnecessary hassle, just working together to create outstanding products.

The atmosphere is open, honest and friendly, with mutual respect at its core. Music is often playing in the workshop and colleagues regularly get together outside work as well, for example over dinner.

You've got what it takes

With your hands-on attitude, you see what needs to be done and take initiative. You can switch quickly between tasks without compromising on quality, while working well together with your colleagues.

  • MBO level 3 working and thinking level, or equivalent vocational education
  • Experience with TIG welding, at least stainless steel level 2
  • Interest in sheet metal fabrication, laser cutting and press brake operations
  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset
  • A positive team spirit and respect for your colleagues

Don't have the right diploma but do have the experience and motivation to learn? We'd still love to hear from you.

How we take care of you

At AAE, your happiness at work comes first. We want you to enjoy coming to work every day while continuing to develop yourself. That's why we invest in your personal growth, wellbeing and future through our vitality programme, professional training courses and support from experienced colleagues.

Based on a 40-hour working week, you can expect:

  • A gross monthly salary between €2,800 and €4,200, depending on your knowledge and experience
  • Annual profit sharing
  • 40 days off per year (27 vacation days and 13 ADV days)
  • Travel allowance
  • Access to the AAE Academy
