Today, you’re building a control cabinet. Tomorrow, you’re wiring an entire new machine in the field. The day after, you’re working with Engineering to analyse a fault until everything does exactly what it is supposed to do.
As an Electrical Technician at AAE in Helmond, you make sure all electrical systems within our Advanced OEM Systems (AOS) business line work together seamlessly. Instead of large-scale series production, you work on small series and unique high-tech prototypes. Every type of machine is different. Every delivery requires craftsmanship. And that is exactly what makes your work so interesting.
Pushing technical boundaries
Within AOS, we develop and build complete high-tech machines for customers around the world. We help them turn innovative designs into reliable production systems for the semiconductor, analytical, industrial automation and life sciences industries, among others. We build the machines entirely in-house.
As our business line continues to grow, we are looking for both additional capacity and experience. Soon, you will be working in a new production environment where the entire business line operates under one roof: Engineering, Production, Logistics and Project Teams. It is a place where you do not just build machines, but also contribute ideas on how we can build them smarter and more efficiently.
What will your role be?
You connect machines, integrate modules and make sure the complete machine can ultimately do exactly what it was designed to do.
No two projects are the same, so your work varies constantly. You are involved from the initial build through to the delivery of complete machines.
You will:
Build and wire control panels, control cabinets and electrical modules.
Install the complete field wiring for high-tech machines.
Integrate electrical systems into complete machines.
Test and validate machines and prepare them for delivery.
Work with colleagues from Assembly, NPI and Electrical Engineering to troubleshoot and debug faults.
Take part in the daily team start-up meeting.
Suggest smarter solutions while building new machines.
Contribute to a smooth assembly process where quality always comes first.
Within AOS, we have several assembly teams. Some focus mainly on prototypes, while others work on recurring projects in small series. Together, we will look at where your experience and talents can make the biggest impact.
Being part of something great
You will join a young, energetic team where working together comes naturally. Everyone helps each other move forward. If you have a question, you simply walk over to a colleague. If you spot an opportunity to do something smarter, your ideas will be heard.
You work closely with Mechatronics Technicians, Electrical Engineers, Project Leads and NPI Engineers every day. This means you see more than just your own part of the job: you get to experience the entire process from design to finished machine.
And of course, there is plenty of room to have fun together too. Friday afternoon drinks, celebrating successes as a team or getting together outside working hours are all part of life at AAE.
You’ve got what it takes
You get excited about technology that has never been built before. You think in solutions, keep an overview and enjoy working together to perfect a machine step by step.
You also have:
A completed MBO level 4 qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or Mechatronics.
Experience in machine building, high-tech or an OEM environment.
Knowledge of electrical schematics and control panel building.
A precise way of working and a strong eye for quality.
The drive to deliver every machine even better than the last.
