Are you an experienced technician who gets energy from building complex machines? Do you enjoy not only building them, but also thinking about how things can be done smarter, better or more efficiently? Then you will feel right at home at AAE.
As our Advanced OEM Systems (AOS) business line continues to grow, we are looking to strengthen our team. Together, we will look at which assembly team best matches your experience and ambitions. Whether you enjoy working on prototypes or prefer building small series, at AAE you will have the opportunity to put your expertise to good use.
Pushing technical boundaries
Within Advanced OEM Systems, we develop and build complete high-tech systems for customers around the world. We help them turn innovative designs into reliable machines that are ready for production. We do this for a wide range of markets, including semiconductor, life sciences, analytical and industrial automation. As a Mechatronics Technician, you are the person who actually brings these machines to life. You build, integrate, test and validate systems that will ultimately be used by our customers worldwide.
An exciting recent development is that our entire business line is now located under one roof. AOS has its own building, bringing together Engineering, Production, Logistics, Sales and After-sales. You will have the opportunity to contribute ideas about your workplace and how we can organise our production processes even more efficiently.
What will your role be?
As a Mechatronics Technician, you make sure complex machines are assembled into fully functioning end products. You work closely with engineers, electrical technicians, project leads and fellow technicians.
You will:
Assemble mechanical and mechatronic modules and complete machines.
Integrate mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.
Test and validate machines and prepare them for delivery to the customer.
Troubleshoot and analyse faults until the machine functions exactly as intended.
Take part in daily team start-up meetings and work with multidisciplinary project teams.
Suggest improvements to assembly, engineering and production processes.
Support customers during Factory Acceptance Tests and occasionally provide support with installations or commissioning at customer sites worldwide.
Your work is quite literally AAE’s calling card. You build the product our customer receives.
Being part of something great
You will join a young and energetic assembly team of around 10 to 15 colleagues. The atmosphere is open, supportive and straightforward. Colleagues share their knowledge, help each other when needed and celebrate successes together. We regularly finish the week with Friday afternoon drinks, and activities are also organised outside working hours.
Within AOS, we have several assembly teams. Some focus mainly on prototypes, while others work on recurring projects in small series. Together, we will look at where your experience and talents can make the biggest impact.
You’ve got what it takes
You feel at home in an environment where technology never stands still. You enjoy solving problems, take a practical approach and are comfortable taking responsibility.
You also bring:
A completed Dutch MBO level 4 qualification in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable field.
At least 5 years of experience in high-tech machine building or with an OEM.
Pride in your craftsmanship and a strong eye for quality.
Willingness to occasionally travel worldwide to carry out work at customer sites.
How we take care of you
At AAE, job satisfaction is our number one priority. That is why we invest not only in technology, but above all in our people. One of the ways we do this is through our extensive vitality programme.
Based on a 40-hour working week, you can expect:
A gross monthly salary between €3,000 and €5,200, depending on your knowledge and experience.
Annual profit sharing.
40 days off: 27 holiday days plus 13 ADV days.
Travel allowance.
Access to the AAE Academy.
In 2025, our own colleagues named AAE a Worldclass Workplace. We are very proud of that!
