As Engineering Manager at AAE in Helmond, you will build the engineering organization behind the next generation of high-tech systems.

Within the Advanced OEM Systems business line, you will lead Quality and Technology, unite multidisciplinary engineering disciplines, and support customers through co-development, industrialization, and the transition to series production. As a member of the Management Team, you will connect Systems Engineering, technology, quality, Commercial, Operations, and Supply Chain.

Pushing technical boundaries

AAE is a high-tech family business in Helmond with around 550 colleagues. Across three business lines, we develop and manufacture technology that makes the world a little better.

Advanced OEM Systems (AOS) is one of these business lines. Within AOS, we work with start-ups, scale-ups, and established OEMs. We understand their technology, contribute at the system level, and help develop and industrialize innovative products and scale them up to robust and predictable series production.

We work on complete high-tech systems for markets including semiconductor, medical, life sciences, and consumer goods. We translate designs into manufacturable systems and operational production processes.

This is the business line where we would like to welcome you as our Engineering Manager.

What will your role be?

In this role, you combine technical depth with customer interaction and strategic influence. One day, you may be working with a start-up on new technology; the next, you may be helping an international OEM professionalize and scale an existing platform. At the same time, you will develop the engineering organization that enables us to meet these diverse customer needs.

Your responsibilities:

• Within the AOS Management Team, you will be responsible for Quality and Technology and support customers, New Business Development, and Project Management from a technical perspective.
• You will further develop a multidisciplinary Systems Engineering organization and facilitate co-development and BTP+ projects by providing structure, technical direction, and the right competencies.
• You will connect Mechanical, Software, Electronics, Systems, and Manufacturing Engineering and align competencies and capacity within AOS and across AAE’s other business lines.
• You will safeguard technical quality, take the lead on complex technical escalations, and maintain and improve engineering methods, standards, and procedures.
• You will monitor technological developments and translate them into technology roadmaps for AOS.
• You will work with Operations and Supply Chain to create scalable, robust, and predictable production flows.

For this position, we are looking for an experienced technical leader who can connect technology, people, and business objectives. You have successfully held a comparable role before and are ready for an environment where you can once again build and develop an engineering organization.

You bring:

• A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field.
• Experience as an Engineering Manager or technical leader in a multidisciplinary high-tech environment.
• Experience with Systems Engineering and complex mechatronic systems.
• Affinity with both co-development and industrialization.
• The ability to connect technology, quality, Commercial, and Operations.
• A coaching leadership style and strong communication skills.

As Engineering Manager, based on a 40-hour workweek, we also offer:

• A gross monthly salary between €5,500 and €9,000, depending on your knowledge and experience.
