Within our Ultra Conditioned Precision Modules (UCPM) business line, we develop and manufacture extremely precise modules for customers at the forefront of the high-tech industry.

As Business Controller, you will be part of the management team of this business line. You are the financial conscience of UCPM. The business line is on the verge of significant growth, and your role in ensuring that growth is financially sound and successful is essential.

These include complete automation solutions capable of producing up to 350 million products a year. We also manufacture modules that form the beating heart of highly innovative and often groundbreaking machines.

AAE consists of three specialized business lines: Ultra Conditioned Precision Modules (UCPM), Advanced OEM Systems (OEM), and Printing & Assembly Automation (PAA).

Within UCPM, the business line we need you for, we focus on extremely precise modules that must perform flawlessly under the most demanding conditions, such as in a vacuum, at high temperatures, or within extremely tight tolerances. Customers in this industry innovate at an incredible pace and continuously push the boundaries of what is technically possible. This is where we make the impossible possible.

What will your role be?

As Business Controller within UCPM, you are responsible for the financial foundation of the business line. You act as the financial co-pilot to the Business Manager. Within AAE, UCPM operates as an independent business unit with its own dynamics, margins, projects, and growth ambitions. UCPM expects to double in size over the next three to five years. That is why we are looking for an experienced controller who not only has a firm grip on the numbers, but also understands the bigger picture.

You are a member of the UCPM management team and a direct sparring partner for the business line management team. You look ahead, provide advice, and make adjustments where necessary. You are at the heart of the organization: close to operations, involved in decision-making, and actively collaborating with project managers, sales, and supply chain.

You monitor the financial progress of projects, track product performance, analyze margins, and provide clear day-to-day insight into costs and cash flow. You support investment proposals and help assess the financial implications of growth. What does strong revenue growth mean for our working capital requirements? What are the financial implications of a new cleanroom or additional warehouse capacity? And how do we translate customer agreements into clear contracts, rates, and appropriate legal safeguards?

This position brings together the full breadth of the finance profession. You move between recurring production and project-based environments, and between cost-price analyses and investment decisions. AI and data-driven decision-making are high on our agenda. Like you, we are continuously looking for ways to improve how we work.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Analyzing margins, results, and the financial performance of products.
• Providing financial insight into and steering the progress and invoicing of NPI projects.
• Analyzing business results, managing working capital, and preparing budgets and rolling forecasts.
• Advising on contractual and legal matters related to customers.
• Strengthening data-driven decision-making with tools such as Power BI and AI applications.

We are looking for someone who stays sharp, keeps developing, continuously improves the way we work, and takes ownership.

You also bring the right knowledge and experience:

• You have completed a relevant university degree, for example in Finance, Business Economics, or Accountancy, potentially supplemented by a professional accounting or controlling qualification such as RA or RC.
• You have at least 7 years of experience in a comparable role, preferably within a high-tech manufacturing environment.
• You have experience with process improvement, digitalization, and performance management.
• You are comfortable with the legal aspects of the role. You act as the point of contact for external legal counsel and support the review of customer contracts.
• You have a strong affinity with AI, automation, and digital tools, ideally combined with experience in ERP implementations. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus.

As Business Controller UCPM, based on a 40-hour workweek, we offer:

• A gross monthly salary between €5,500 and €8,000, with opportunities for salary growth based on your performance.
• Annual profit sharing.
• 40 days off per year, consisting of 27 vacation days and 13 ADV days.
• A commuting allowance.
