Are you a coaching leader who enjoys developing people and improving processes?
As Teamlead Production Planning at AAE in Helmond, you will provide functional leadership to a team of approximately 14 production planners. You will develop the processes, systems and skills that enable them to perform at their best. In our high-tech manufacturing environment, you will connect team development with predictable, efficient production planning across three different business lines.
Pushing technical boundaries
At AAE, we develop and build high-tech technology that makes the world a little better. We do this together with around 550 colleagues in Helmond. As a family business, we combine technical ambition with genuine care for people and the belief that we achieve more together.
Our production planning team supports three business lines, each with its own challenges:
Printing & Assembly Automation (PAA): Automated production lines that combine printing and assembly processes.
Advanced OEM Systems (AOS): Co-development and production of complete high-tech systems in close collaboration with customers.
Ultra Conditioned Precision Modules (UCPM): Extremely precise modules and assemblies for industries including semiconductor and life sciences.
This diversity calls for strong planning processes, reliable information and planners who can adapt to different production environments. That's where you make the difference.
What will your role be?
As Teamlead Production Planning, your focus will be on people and how they work. You will be responsible for the functional leadership of the team, shaping how processes, systems, standards and competencies are developed.
Day-to-day operational priorities and results are managed by the business lines. Your role is to ensure your team has everything it needs to deliver those results. In doing so, you will help drive the continued professionalization of Production Planning at AAE.
More specifically, you will:
Coach and develop a team of approximately 14 production planners. You encourage ownership, support your colleagues and create opportunities for professional and personal growth.
Improve and standardize planning processes. You develop, implement and embed ways of working that increase predictability and improve material and capacity management.
Initiate and lead improvement projects. You identify bottlenecks, investigate root causes and work with your team and other departments to implement sustainable solutions.
Strengthen knowledge and competencies within your team. You anticipate future expertise requirements, staffing needs and development opportunities.
Further develop planning tools and systems. You ensure they meet the needs of the planners and the different production environments.
Your success is not measured by solving every planning challenge yourself, but by building a team and establishing ways of working that enable planners to continuously improve their performance.
Being part of something great
You will be part of the Leadership Team of Planning & Logistics Engineering. Here, you will work closely with logistics managers and the Teamleads Operational Procurement and Logistics Engineering to further develop our supply chain.
You will be a key partner for Operations and the business lines. You bring different interests together, encourage open discussions about improvement opportunities and help translate decisions into everyday practice.
You've got what it takes
At AAE, we believe great leadership starts with genuine attention to people. You provide direction, listen to ideas and encourage collaboration. At the same time, you will have the freedom to use your expertise to help shape the future of Production Planning.
What you bring:
A bachelor's or master's degree (HBO or WO), preferably in Industrial Engineering & Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management or a related field.
Relevant professional experience in production planning, supply chain or operations.
Demonstrable leadership experience or a strong interest in coaching and developing people.
Strong analytical skills and the motivation to continuously improve processes.
The ability to engage colleagues and stakeholders and guide them through change.
Strong communication skills and a coaching leadership style.
Do you recognize yourself in this role, but don't meet every requirement yet? We'd still love to get to know you. We're interested in your approach to leadership, your experience with process improvement and how you help people grow.
