Pushing technical boundaries

At AAE, we make an impact. With high-tech modules, systems, and smart automation solutions, we enable the production of more than 350 million products every year. We do this through our three business lines: Ultra Conditioned Precision Modules (UCPM), Advanced OEM Systems (AOS), and Printing & Assembly Automation (PAA). Together, they form the foundation of our company, serving industries such as medical technology, semiconductors, and automotive.

Key Technologies (KT) is the technical backbone of these business lines. This is where we develop and manufacture our signature parts: unique, critical components that determine the performance, precision, and reliability of our machines. From milling and turning to sheet metal fabrication, welding, and precision measurement.

KT adds direct value to all three business lines. We introduce new products through New Product Introduction (NPI) and continuously invest in new machinery and automation solutions. What we create here is essential to our customers' success and becomes part of high-tech solutions used around the world.

What will your role be?

You will lead one of our KT teams, consisting of 10 to 15 skilled professionals. People who know their craft, have strong personalities, and communicate openly and directly. The team is close-knit, loyal, and always ready to help one another. They speak their minds, and they expect you to do the same.

You are a leader who keeps the big picture in mind, sets clear priorities, and, above all, makes time for people. Because without a teamlead, our people would receive less attention. And they are our greatest strength.

More specifically, you will:

• Organize and manage daily operations, including scheduling, production, safety, and quality.
• Maintain a visible presence on the shop floor, leading daily team meetings, having conversations, listening, asking the right questions, and providing clear direction.
• Empower your team members, delegate tasks with confidence, and give people the responsibility they need to grow.
• Monitor and improve processes while creating room for fresh ideas.
• Work closely with Purchasing, Planning, Engineering, and other teams.
• Contribute ideas on investments, training, and the future development of your department.

Within Key Technologies, six teams work closely together. You look beyond your own department and take responsibility for the bigger picture. You know that only by working together can we deliver the quality and reliability AAE promises. Together is part of your DNA. Our teamleads support one another, step in when needed, and challenge each other during weekly meetings.

As a KT team, we also actively contribute to the future of technology. We teach and mentor students at Techniek Centrum Brainport and participate in open house events at both ROC and AAE. You also bring:

• At least an MBO diploma (Dutch vocational qualification), preferably in a technical field such as mechanical engineering.
• HBO-level working and thinking ability (equivalent to Dutch higher professional education level), combined with a strong technical foundation.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within a technical or manufacturing environment.
• A solid technical background and familiarity with milling, turning, sheet metal fabrication, and precision measurement.
• Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.
