As a **Milling Specialist at AAE in Helmond**, you play an essential role in the first stage of manufacturing high-precision technical components. Working in our Key Technologies department, you operate advanced CNC milling machines, set up machining programs, and inspect components to ensure exceptional quality. Your expertise helps us turn complex customer requirements into precision-engineered products. We can't wait to welcome you to our team!
Welcome to AAE! Based in Helmond, the Netherlands, we combine our passion for technology with our mission to make the world a better place. As a leading high-tech family-owned company, we develop advanced solutions that make a significant impact on the international machine-building industry. Together with more than 550 dedicated colleagues, we're proud to manufacture unique, critical components for the high-tech industry.
Pushing technical boundaries
At AAE, we have a clear mission: to make the world a little better every day through groundbreaking technology. We do this by developing advanced high-tech modules and systems that enable extremely precise analysis and manufacturing processes. Our machines operate at full capacity, producing up to 350 million products every year!
What will your role be?
We're excited to welcome you as a Milling Specialist to our Key Technologies department, where we manufacture high-quality technical components for customers across various industries.
At Key Technologies, every component goes through several machining stages before it's ready for assembly in our cleanroom or transfer to the warehouse. Your role is essential to this process. Without your expertise and precision, the first stage of our production process simply couldn't begin!
As a Milling Specialist, you'll play a key role in manufacturing small batches of unique products, typically ranging from 1 to 20 pieces per product. You'll work with a variety of highly precise CNC milling machines, including our impressive Okuma MU10000, one of only a few machines of its kind in Europe!
We're constantly pushing the boundaries of what's technically possible, and you'll be doing the same. You'll find practical solutions that meet our customers' exact requirements while delivering the highest levels of precision and quality.
Your responsibilities will include:
Milling extremely precise, high-quality components and thoroughly inspecting their dimensions.
Setting up our CNC milling machines using preprogrammed machining programs to manufacture components that meet customer specifications.
Producing and machining components using our ERP systems to support the production process.
Working closely with colleagues to solve technical challenges and achieve the best possible results.
At AAE, we believe in doing things right and doing them together. You'll join a team of 14 colleagues, including CNC turners and milling specialists, who share a commitment to delivering outstanding quality. Together, you'll combine technical expertise, craftsmanship, and teamwork to create products you can be proud of.
Here's what one of your future colleagues, a Milling Specialist at AAE, has to say:
"Working at Key Technologies means being part of a team that's always looking for ways to improve. That's exactly what makes my job so enjoyable and interesting. I get the opportunity to continuously optimize our processes. Recently, I started my first major project, and I was incredibly excited to take on the challenge of programming and machining the components myself."
Being part of something great
Our groundbreaking technology speaks for itself, but we're just as proud of who we are together. At AAE, you're always part of something bigger.
As a leading, innovative, high-tech family-owned company based in Helmond, we're an ambitious international player in the machine-building industry. With more than 550 colleagues, we continuously push technical boundaries, whether we're processing large production volumes, manufacturing ultra-precise components, or developing solutions that operate under extreme conditions.
Through our modules and machines, we contribute to a smarter, better, more sustainable, and simply more enjoyable world. Because that's what drives us: To be the best for the world. Everywhere.
But there's more to what makes AAE special: our company culture.
We celebrate our successes and enjoy spending time together through a wide range of activities, from company events to the Infinitry, our athletic challenge organized by the Expeditie Fit team.
We've even taken on the Passo dello Stelvio, one of Europe's most challenging mountain passes. You can watch the aftermovie on our YouTube channel. It still gives us goosebumps!
You've got what it takes
We're looking for a Milling Specialist who combines technical expertise with precision, craftsmanship, and a strong commitment to quality.
You take pride in your work and make sure every component is ready for the next step in the production process. You also understand that great results come from working together. When a colleague runs into a problem, you're ready to lend a hand.
And what if you discover an unexpected error in a component just 30 minutes before the end of your shift? You stay calm, assess the situation, and look for a practical solution.
That's the AAE mindset. Leading-edge technology starts with you.
Our success often begins with prototypes, turning our customers' ideas and requirements into tangible products. A hands-on, solution-oriented approach is essential to our team. By working together and supporting one another, we're often able to complete projects ahead of schedule. When it matters, everyone steps up.
Here's what else you bring:
A completed technical vocational education in metalworking or a related field, comparable to a Dutch MBO qualification.
Preferably 3–5 years of relevant experience in CNC milling. This is a plus, not a requirement.
The ability to accurately measure, inspect, and assess machined components before passing them on to the next stage of production.
Most importantly, you feel at home in our unique company culture, built around four core values: Ambitious, Can Do, Human, and Together.
How we take care of you
At AAE, your happiness at work is our number one priority.
That's why we offer plenty of opportunities for personal and professional growth, along with a comprehensive wellness program that supports both your physical and mental well-being.
And did you know that AAE was recognized as a Worldclass Workplace in 2025? This recognition is based on employee feedback and is awarded to organizations that receive exceptionally high ratings as employers.
As a Milling Specialist at AAE, we offer you the following benefits, based on a 40-hour workweek:

Annual profit sharing.
Varied work involving different technologies, industries, and projects.
40 days of paid time off and a commuting allowance.
Flexible part-time opportunities, working 32–40 hours per week.
Opportunities to continue developing your skills through the AAE Academy.
Together we move the world happily forward
